TGA Plymouth County is now serving up Youth Volleyball as part of our enrichment program with the Norwell Athletic Clubs indoor court.

Our coaches use TGA’s station-based teaching to lead students through the various skills and knowledge required to learn the sport. The basic fundamentals taught in class include passing, setting, serving, spiking, and blocking.

This team-based sport will require students to work together and better communicate to achieve a common goal. Classes also include academic concepts like gravity, friction, and reaction time through STEAM labs and games.

Volleyball has been part of the Summer Olympics for both men and women for more than 50-years. There have even been other variations, such as beach volleyball, added to the Olympic games. It has led to many exciting competitions over the years.
